Getting excited for some Vermont offroading in 2024!

It’s been a while since our last episode back in November, but now that the class 4 roads are officially opening up again, I’m eager to dive back in and share our experiences with you more frequently. With the season upon us, there’s a buzz of excitement as enthusiasts gear up and prepare their vehicles for the trails ahead.

The last few months have been a flurry of activity as we are getting our vehicles ready for the adventures to come. Managing projects across different shops and locations has been a whirlwind, but seeing the transformations unfold has been incredibly rewarding.

A standout project has been the overhaul of our old Range Rover into a modern Overland vehicle, all thanks to the expertise of Lucky8. From upgrading tires and wheels to installing a rugged front bumper and LED lighting, our Range Rover L322 is now ready to conquer any terrain while providing comfort and reliability.

My partner, Cate, and I have been discussing ways to foster a supportive community for female enthusiasts in the world of Overlanding. Inspired by events like the Rebelle Rally, we’re eager to create inclusive experiences where women can come together to explore, camp, and connect on the trails. Look for some discussion coming soon in The Pilgrimage discussion group on Facebook.

Looking ahead, we have some exciting events lined up, including our Land Rover-only event The Rover Revival July 11-14, Northern Excursion coming up June 14-16 and the Class 4 Cookoff Aug 2-4. These events offer the perfect blend of off-road adventures and camaraderie, providing enthusiasts with opportunities to showcase their skills and share memorable experiences.

I can’t stress enough the importance of community engagement and responsible off-roading practices. Whether it’s picking up trash or spreading smiles on the trails, it’s essential to show respect for nature and fellow enthusiasts. Remember, safety always comes first, so never wheel alone and prioritize the well-being of yourself and others.

As the season unfolds, I’m filled with anticipation for the adventures that lie ahead. From reconnecting with fellow enthusiasts to exploring new trails and creating lasting memories, there’s so much to look forward to. Stay tuned for future posts where we’ll dive deeper into upcoming adventures and community-driven initiatives.

Until next time, happy trails and safe travels!
