As you arrive at the campground on Friday, the options are endless. You can spend the day immersing yourself in the beauty of Vermont’s Class 4 roads, renowned for their rugged charm, or opt for a guided tour that includes stops at the state’s best swimming holes, creemee stands, and restaurants. In the evening, tantalize your taste buds with a delectable dinner paired with Vermont’s finest craft beers at the renowned Worthy Kitchen.

Saturday marks the beginning of the cooking challenges, where every vehicle transforms into a kitchen on wheels. Under the scrutiny of esteemed chef judges including Chef Thomas Ahern of Middlebury Marquee and Chef Jason Merrill of Worth Kitchen and Burger, as well as the discerning palate of professional food aficionado Derek Chace, participants compete for a variety of awards. The action kicks off bright and early with breakfast judging at 8am, followed by a trek through the Class 4 roads to pick up mystery boxes filled with provisions for the day’s cook-off challenges. In the heart of the woods, amidst nature’s backdrop, contestants showcase their culinary prowess in the mystery box cook-off at 12:30pm. Awards abound for creativity and skill.

Afterwards, participants return to the campground to prepare for the evening’s main event: the Signature Dish Cook Off Challenge. From appetizers to drinks pairings, every detail counts as contestants vie for top honors. The excitement culminates with final awards at 8pm, celebrating the best of the best. On Sunday, the adventure continues with the option to explore the area at your leisure or join a guided excursion through more Class 4 roads, ensuring that every moment of the Class 4 Cook Off is filled with unforgettable experiences and delectable delights.

  • Friday: arrive at the campground anytime and enjoy a free day exploring VT class 4’s or choose a guided route stopping at some of Vermont best swimming holes, creemee stands and restaurants.
  • Friday night: 6:00-7:30 dinner and amazing VT beers at the famous Worthy Kitchen.
  • Saturday the cooking challenges begin!
    Every vehicle is cooking – this is a culinary challenge with lots of awards up for grabs.
  • Saturday morning: 8am – 9am Breakfast judging
    Various Awards for different categories.
  • 9:30am: Take to the class 4’s and head to mystery box pick up location and provisioning. Then back on the class 4 to the mystery box cook off locations in the woods.
  • 12:30-1:30 mystery box cook off challenge in the woods. Various awards.
  • Released to free wheel back to venue and get provisions if needed for your evening meal creation!
  • 6:30-8pm: Signature dish cook off challenge at the camp ground.
  • Must include appetizer, main, dessert and drinks pairing.
  • Final awards 8pm
  • Sunday free explore or guided class exploring.
